Program Structure
- Visiting scholars have access to dedicated work space at the Mandel Center, basic office support and all available Brandeis University resources (e.g., library privileges and access to electronic resources).
- They may also request support in the form of paid research assistance, and in fact are encouraged to do so since the opportunity to serve as a research assistant is a valuable learning experience for undergraduates.
- Visiting scholars do not receive compensation.
- Visiting scholars are expected to be in residence regularly, and to participate fully in sessions of the Jewish Education Working Group (a group of scholars who meet regularly to discuss research in Jewish education) and in the Seminar on Contemporary Jewish Life.

- Any scholar of Jewish education or an adjacent field, including scholars of Jewish studies who wish to focus on the teaching and learning of their subject area, or any advanced Jewish educational practitioner, is eligible to apply.
