Animal Care and Use Program

Brandeis University is committed to following the laws, regulations and policies established by the federal government through the Animal Welfare Act and the U.S. Public Health Service Policy and has established an Animal Care and Use Program to ensure that the highest ethical and veterinary standards are maintained in our research.

Reporting Animal Welfare Concerns

Any person wishing to report a concern regarding the care and use of animals at Brandeis University may do so by emailing iacuc-group@brandeis.edu.  Anonymous reports regarding the care and use of animals at Brandeis University may be submitted through EthicsPoint, from which a report will be routed to the IACUC Office.

Brandeis University takes allegations of misconduct very seriously and fully adheres to provisions outlined in the Animal Welfare Act. No member of the Brandeis University community will be discriminated against or subject to reprisals for reporting possible violations of animal care and use standards.

To gain access to the Animal Care and Use Program website, a written request by the PI or lab manager must be sent to iacuc-group@brandeis.edu with each new individual's full name and UNet ID. This request will usually take one to two business days to process and the requestor and new individual will be notified via email when access has been granted.
