Getting Involved
Student-run Clubs
Brandeis students participate in a number of clubs all across the university, but the physics department has its own Physics Club and Astronomy Club. Members meet regularly to discuss concepts in physics, organize lectures and trips and direct projects with the local community.
The Brandeis Physics Club:
The goal of the Brandeis Physics Club is to promote both community and engagement in the physical sciences at Brandeis. We aim to provide resources and opportunities for members to engage with research topics, develop career plans, and create a space for students to explore the discipline. Our club is inclusive to all students and we want to uplift students beyond the physics classroom through social events, outreach, and collaboration with physics faculty and graduate students.

The Brandeis Astronomy Club:
The Brandeis Astronomy Club operates at the Greunbaum Observatory on the Brandeis University Campus. Our facilities include a custom-built 24" reflector telescope from 1967, a selection of portable reflector and refactor telescopes, binoculars, and more. Our facilities are open to all students and staff at Brandeis for study, research, and for exploration of the cosmos.

Colloquia and More
Because we’re located just outside of Boston, a major locus of physics research and home to some of the world’s best universities, you’ll be exposed to a steady stream of distinguished speakers and important colloquia.
Undergraduates are encouraged to join these events.
