The World Languages and Cultures (WLC) Committee comprises representatives from each of the languages taught at Brandeis, the university library and the Office of Study Abroad.
The committee works to promote the study of languages at Brandeis, discusses policies and pedagogical ideas, and provides professional-development opportunities to all language faculty. Every semester, the committee organizes cultural events related to language learning, such as the All Languages Dinner (during I Am Global Week) and the Brandeis Language Oscars, a video competition for first-year language students.
