Supplier Diversity
Procurement and Business Services actively seeks out opportunities to obtain services and goods from certified diversity suppliers that can provide competitive quality and pricing. When all business considerations are determined to be equal among competitive suppliers, the University will make every effort to award contracts to local small businesses, minority owned business enterprises (MBE), women owned business enterprises (WBE), disadvantaged, and veteran owned businesses.
In our effort to seek Small and Minority Owned Business enterprises which meet this standard, we will identify Small and Minority Owned Business enterprises as defined by the federal government in the following ways:
- Identified on our Vendor Certification Form (pdf)
- Identified through our membership in Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC)
- Identified through our membership in Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)
Procurement and Business Services will continuously research Small and Minority Owned Business directories and consortiums to identify potential suppliers for new projects.
