Hillel
What is Brandeis Hillel like?
At Hillel, students forge new friendships, meet dedicated mentors, celebrate the Jewish calendar, engage in service to others, and are inspired by Jewish texts and traditions. Hillel is for students of every color, from every country, studying every subject, and welcomes students of any sexual orientation, gender identity and physical ability, as well as those affected by mental illness, trauma and abuse. Students take a leading role in all aspects of the organization, from religious services to cultural programs, trips to Israel and fun social events.
But don't take our word for it. Ask our students.
What social activities and events does Hillel offer?
Concerts, gaming nights, crafting groups, challah bakes, ice cream socials, "Cake Wars" (a baking competition to raise awareness of cancers and genetic diseases impacting the Jewish community) and many others. Students are also always welcome to hang out in the Hillel lounge.
