This room is home to a 6 ft. x 8 ft. WhisperRoom sound isolation enclosure that creates an ideal acoustical environment for recording instruments and vocals.  We have written workflow guides for podcast recording (using Audition) and music production (using Logic).  Sound gear in this studio includes:

  • Shure SM7B Dynamic Microphones (2)

  • Scarlett 18i8 Audio Interface

  • Arturia Keylab MKII 61 MIDI Keyboard Controller

  • Yamaha HS8 Powered Studio Monitors

  • Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Headphones

The sound booth can accommodate 2-3 musicians, with a mixing station located just outside for an optional sound engineer. Any member of the Brandeis community may book this room and ask for an orientation during their initial session. Our staff offers consultation and assistance on sound recording projects.
