David Graubard retired from his medical practice at the end of September. Janet Krauss and husband Bert welcomed great-granddaughter Margaret “Maggie” Jane Swanson. “As one of my friends said, ‘Life asserts itself into our families,’” Janet writes. “And so it may continue against the dire forces surrounding us.” She mentors Bridgeport, Connecticut, schoolchildren and arranges poetry readings for the poets of Black Rock Art Guild. Amethyst Review recently published three of her poems. Retired life insurance agent and manager Arnold Rovner reports he is “living the good life” in Summerville, South Carolina, near Charleston.
