In 2019, Carl Barnes celebrated two milestones — the March wedding of son Robert to daughter-in-law Kara and a 60th birthday — with a 192-mile bike ride for the Pan-Mass Challenge, raising more than $20,000 for research and patient care at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Mansur Hasib received the Outstanding Global Cybersecurity Leadership Award at the 2019 International Cyber Security and Intelligence Conference, held in July in Toronto. Mansur is program chair of cybersecurity technology at the University of Maryland Global Campus graduate school and the author of “Cybersecurity Leadership: Powering the Modern Organization.” Mark Matulef was appointed to the University of Maryland Carey School of Law alumni board. He is director of systemic investigations in the Office of Fair Housing and Equality Opportunity at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. He also trains leadership/life coaches in the Federal Internal Coach Training Program. Benson Zoghlin’s medical practice was purchased by Rochester Regional Health System. Wife Mindy’s practice in environmental and land-use litigation continues to grow. Son Jacob works in Mindy’s practice, and daughter Rachel works in the immigration law field with the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society. Last spring, Benson traveled to the Galápagos and Peru with Scott Israel, P’14, and his wife, Alice. After Alumni Weekend this spring, he hopes to cruise the Baltic.
