Andy Ambraziejus has written his first novel, “Confessions of a Gay Curmudgeon,” under the pen name Andy V. Ambrose. The publisher is Nine Star Press. Michael Bien, an attorney in San Francisco, is representing inmates in a lengthy federal class-action lawsuit focused on psychiatric care in prisons. Carin Roth became a grandmother for the third time with the birth of Talia, who joins older sibling Rose and cousin Maverick. Carin reports grandmotherhood is possibly better than motherhood — at the very least, it’s less work. Roy Stracqualursi and his wife retired from their dental practice in August 2018. A cross-country road trip followed in September and October, including a visit with Robert Dobrusin. A second road trip in April from Hilton Head, South Carolina, to Texas included time spent with Robert Bluthardt. Roy’s daughter, a corporate lawyer at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, recently moved back to Boston from New York City; her parents are glad to have her nearby again. Ellis Verdi is co-founder and president of advertising firm DeVito/Verdi, which DesignRush named one of the top 17 New York branding agencies in 2019. The firm launched a bold ad campaign for Legal Sea Foods called “Welcome to Legal,” which capitalized on the legalization of recreational marijuana in Massachusetts.
