David Ash, P’06, spoke in September at a panel on advertising law at a conference for the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau. He was also interviewed by Retail Merchandiser magazine on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of his company, Sam Ash Music Corp.; he is the firm’s CEO and general counsel. Samuel Brainerd, who received a PhD in history from the University of Maryland, edited the papers of the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence, Charles Carroll. Samuel retired in 2011. “Last September, I married a woman I first fell in love with 50 years ago,” he writes. George Kahn enjoyed being the Class Notes correspondent for the Class of ’73 and, though he no longer has the role, hopes classmates will continue to share their stories and successes in these pages. Richard Kaskawits, who retired from his optometry practice in 2018, is traveling, reading and spending time with his three grandchildren. In retirement, Barbara Gline Pearlman enjoys taking classes at a community college, cooking and exercising. She’s also been traveling with her husband; they spent three months in Europe last spring. Their son lives in Brooklyn. Bradley Wechsler was reelected to a three-year term on the board of Apollo Investment Corp. Katherine Wolf lost her partner/husband of 36 years, Peter David Clark, in December 2018 to respiratory complications of ALS. He was 65 and had been diagnosed with ALS two and a half years earlier.
