His dissertation, which explores cooks’ perceptions of household energy in rural Nicaragua, continued research he started for his master’s degree in the Sustainable International Development program at Heller. Carole Allen, MBA’17, has been elected vice president of the Massachusetts Medical Society. Gregory Antoine, MS’17, is senior associate dean for clinical affairs and chief medical officer at Morehouse School of Medicine, in Atlanta. Sonam Tshomo, MA’18, works in Bhutan at the Australia Awards office, managing scholarship programs targeted at human resource development. “As a scholarship recipient myself, I can’t emphasize enough the doors of opportunities that scholarships provide,” the former World Bank Scholar writes. Krista Acosta, Heller MA/MBA’19, and Ekow Edzie were married in a traditional Dominican wedding in the Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic, countryside, attended by Heller friends and alumni. Jill Majorie Baren, Heller MBA’19, a physician at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, has been named president of the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
