Shana Burstyn is executive assistant to the president of Hebrew College, in Newton, Massachusetts. She lives in Somerville with her cat, Kugel. Heather Carey, MFA’12, designed costumes for the independent film “Seneca,” which premiered at the 2019 New York Latino Film Festival. Jessica Granville married Matthew Naturman ’14 on May 26. Multiple generations of Brandeisians gathered to celebrate them at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mariah “Jack” Swiech Henderson and partner Stephen Joseph Cadigan ’13 announced their engagement in September. The couple initially met at Catholic Mass at Brandeis and reconnected through Boston Pride Hockey, an LGBT hockey group. Ashraf Hussein, MA’13, and his wife, Mandella, welcomed their first baby girl, Zain Sarah, in 2019. They live in Brookline, Massachusetts. Yael Katzwer, formerly managing editor of the West Orange Chronicle, and the News-Record of Maplewood and South Orange for Worrall Community Newspapers in New Jersey, is now head of the company’s editorial department. She oversees all reporters, editors and photographers who help produce eight weekly local New Jersey newspapers, three monthly papers and special sections. Jaimie (Cordier) Leigh married Sean Leigh on June 8 in West Sayville, New York, surrounded by loved ones, including several close friends from Brandeis. Jaimie and Sean live and work in New York City. Herbie Rosen and wife Ali welcomed a daughter, Lillian Rae, in September. Hilary Sager married Joe Shapiro in June.
