Donna Divine, P’01, was named to The Algemeiner’s “J100,” a list of 100 people who positively influence Jewish life. She was honored for her work as guest editor of a special issue of Israel Studies, in which she addressed the need to reclaim the language of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Marian Alben Pruslin lost her husband of 56 years, Dennis, to pancreatic cancer. “It has been quite an adjustment, and a time of reflection and introspection,” she writes, thanking former roommate Julie Lazarovitz Simon and dear friend Terri Castellana Orr for their support. Marian and Terri, who took a cruise to Portugal last spring, hope to continue traversing the world together. Marian mentors two people — a woman who suffered physical abuse and a paroled prisoner — and derives joy from seeing them grow and thrive. She says her children and grandson are also sources of enormous pride.
