David Ball has added two new books to the works he has translated from French: “Coma Crossing: Collected Poems,” by Roger Gilbert-Lecomte, and “Goodbye Paris, Shalom Tel Aviv,” a novel by Marco Koskas. Raoul Kneucker shares three things that made him happy in 2019: his remarriage; the publication of his book on European bureaucracy, his lifelong research topic; and his left-knee replacement, which enabled him to resume hiking mountains.
