After 16 years of teaching in public high schools, Tia Austin Woods works at Denver Jewish Day School. In November, she was a presenter at the annual convention of the National Council of Teachers of English. Arudra Burra teaches philosophy and law in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He and his wife, Swathi Sukumar, recently welcomed son Vasant Niranjan, who might just be a third-generation Brandeisian in the making. Kaukab Jhumra Smith is a foreign service officer at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. Aria Tatelman and Matthew Salloway are co-chairing the planning committee for the class’s 20th Reunion.
