The books — which include a series of memoirs by such figures as Metternich, Hyde de Neuville and Houssaye — will be housed in the Archives and Special Collections department. Bernard, who passed away in 1975, was a high school teacher and an accomplished pianist who spoke or read eight languages, and enjoyed history, literature and travel. Ronald’s brother Lawrence Scheinman ’55 passed away in 2017, and his sister-in-law is Lorraine Salkind Scheinman ’55. Screenwriter Murray Suid shares news about two of his screenplays: “Erica’s Crime” (a comedy) is in pre-production, and “Show Me” (a romantic comedy) has been purchased. Murray is also the creative director of the website, which teaches aspiring filmmakers how to shoot video using a smartphone or a tablet.
