Jeremy Elkins, wife Hillary and daughter Maya welcomed younger daughter Audrey to the world on Feb. 2. Dafna (Gutfreund) Gamzeh is senior manager of New York region operations and strategy in Risk Strategies’ employee benefits department. She has worked at the specialty insurance brokerage and risk management firm for eight years. Dafna lives in New Jersey with her husband, Liron, and three children. In her spare time, she does interior design, most notably the remodel of her husband’s dental practice. Jordi Goodman is a visiting professor of technology law at Boston University, teaching BU/MIT Technology Law Clinic students to assist clients in innovation-related law matters and researching equity in patent law. Emmanuel Obasuyi, Heller MS’15, is building a mobile-first web-based electronic health-record system for health-care providers in emerging markets, which is being piloted in Nigeria. He writes, “Before we raise our institutional round, we are seeking ‘free money’ via grant opportunities and pitch competitions. RIGHT AS RAIN: As the U.S.-based executive director of the nonprofit Rain for the Sahel and Sahara, Katherine Kolios ’12 forges partnerships with rural and nomadic people in Niger to help them build their communities’ resilience through access to education and opportunity. During the COVID pandemic, for instance, the organization helped community members get wash stations into schools, distribute face masks and conduct health training.
