PHIL 132A — Infinity
[ hum ]Is infinity real? If so, exactly how big is it? Is anything bigger than infinity? These questions have puzzled thinkers from Zeno (with his famous paradoxes) to Aristotle, Galileo, Cantor, and Wittgenstein. Students will examine the mystery of infinity from all sides, philosophical, mathematical, psychological, and theological. Usually offered every second year.
