Professor Katie Elliott will be kicking off her first semester here with two courses: PHIL 130A Causation and Explanation -- reviving a course that has been off the books for a long time. And PHIL 150B Topics in Metaphysics and Epistemology: Ordinary Object Ontology.

She writes,

"I am an assistant professor of philosophy at Brandeis University, where I teach courses on the philosophy of science and metaphysics. I have written on philosophical issues surrounding chance, explanation, and prediction. I am currently working on a book about scientific explanation in indeterministic contexts. Prior to joining Brandeis, I was an Associate Professor at UCLA, a postdoc at NYU, and an extremely fortunate graduate student at UNC Chapel Hill."
