Facilities Services

Fee-Based and Other Services

If resources are available, Facilities can provide or coordinate certain services, subject to a departmental charge. Examples are:

  • All moving services

  • Unscheduled or extra carpet/floor cleaning

  • Limited upholstery cleaning

  • Painting and carpeting outside of routine maintenance

  • Minor elective carpentry work (hang pictures, white/bulletin boards; install shelves, etc.)

  • Small office/area renovations (any enhancement to existing conditions)

  • Key copies and core changes

Such services will be rendered on a time-and-materials basis and paid for by the requesting department.

Requests in this category must be submitted through a Service Request. A member of the Facilities team will contact you with regard to estimating, scope considerations and scheduling.

Examples of Services Not Provided

Facilities Services support is limited to university facilities and property. Facilities Services labor, materials, and equipment may not be used for personal benefit. No equipment may be loaned to contractors or students.

The following are examples of services Facilities personnel cannot provide:

  • Repair and maintenance of personal or vendor property

  • Repair and maintenance of departmental or programmatic equipment/furnishings

  • Assembly, moving or installation of personal property

  • Repair of departmental equipment

  • Finding lost personal property

  • Transportation services

  • Loaning of University tools or equipment to students, faculty or staff
