David Levin
Senior Research and Features Writer
A key part of the Brandeis Magazine team, David writes stories about new research at Brandeis.
Before joining Brandeis, he spent 12 years as a freelance science writer and multimedia producer, with work appearing on NPR and Smithsonian.org, and in The New York Times and Knowable Magazine. Prior to that, he worked as a web producer at “NOVA,” the PBS science show, where he produced and hosted its award-winning podcast.
Along the way, he has interviewed Nobel laureates, flown in homemade aircraft, chased tornadoes through the Midwest and spent a month at sea with scientists studying exotic life on the ocean floor.
David has a bachelor’s in U.S. history and computer music/multimedia performance from Oberlin College.
