At-Home COVID Tests
Important Information Regarding At-Home COVID Tests – January 2022
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced that effective Saturday, January 15, 2022, you will be able to seek reimbursement through your health plan for up to eight (8) at-home COVID tests per 30-day period. If your dependents are enrolled in coverage, you can also seek reimbursement for up to eight (8) at-home COVID tests per dependent per 30-days.
Reimbursement of Purchased Kits
- If you are enrolled in the University’s medical plans, you are eligible for reimbursement of up to eight (8) at-home COVID tests, per 30 days, for each enrolled member in the plan.
- At this time, you will need to pre-pay for testing kits and seek reimbursement by completing the Tufts Member Reimbursement Form.
- If you have medical insurance coverage outside of Brandeis University, please check with your health plan provider for more information.
- The list of FDA/EUA authorized antigen and molecular tests is posted on the Tufts website.
- We continually evaluate our plans including COVID-19 at home test coverage. If coverage changes are made, we will notify members of those changes.
Free At-Home Kits
You may now sign up to have at-home COVID-19 tests shipped to you, at no cost, from the federal government. Each household address may receive four test kits.
