An essential function of being a manager is conducting regular one-on-ones with your direct reports. Discover how to utilize the process to create a motivated and positive work environment, attainable goals/objectives and useful exchanges.

Thursday 11/17 - Intro to Leaves Policy

Knowing the facts and legal protections with leave policies is essential. This workshop will educate managers on the legal protections as well as Brandeis policies and procedures for granting and implementing leaves.

Thursday 12/8 - Performance Coaching and Counseling 
1:00 - 2:30 pm  register

An essential function of being a manager is conducting performance coaching and counseling for your team. Learn how to utilize TAP (our Talent Advancement Program) to create a motivated and positive work environment, while also addressing any concerns more effectively.

Monday 12/12 - Legal Considerations of the Supervisor

It’s crucial as a manager to know the basics of the law in order to avoid common mistakes that can lead to real trouble. This workshop will provide managers with an overview of relevant employment laws and will educate managers on how to recognize red flags and seek assistance from the HR Team.

This seminar defines what it means to be a professional and identifies standards and expectations of acceptable, professional workplace behavior. You will gain a deeper understanding of your roles and responsibilities within the context of creating a positive work climate. This session will explore the detrimental effects of behaviors such as teasing, bullying, rumors and gossip, as well as when these behaviors cross the line and become harassment.

Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and kindness, whether they are the CEO, intern, new recruit or lowest paid associate. This seminar helps us understand why good people often behave badly. With a diverse work group, we are challenged to be sensitive to others’ perceptions. Participants in this session will learn the root causes of offensive behaviors, identify behaviors that happen at work,
create a list of rules to live by and commit to working on one thing that they can do to improve.
