Benefits and Wellness

The benefits and wellness team oversees the day-to-day operations of the university's benefits plans and shapes the department's benefits and wellness strategy.
Team members can help answer questions covering the university's medical, dental, life and disability plans; retirement [403(b)] plans; and wellness programs as well as information about paid time off, family medical leave, workers' compensation and tuition remission.
Who We Are

Leads and develops short- and long-term strategy and goals for the benefits and wellness team.

Manages the annual benefits renewal process.

Provides guidance to the benefits and wellness team regarding policy, practices, compliance and appeals.

Ensures resolution of university faculty and staff benefits concerns.

Develops benefits-related communications with assistance of benefits and wellness team.

Provides information and guidance to faculty and staff regarding Medicare options.

Conducts employee benefits orientations.

Manages relationships with benefits-related vendors, consultants and edHEALTH.

Manages the university's 403(b) retirement plan.

Implements wellness events and programs in support of Brandeis wellness strategy.

Administers Brandeis FMLA and time-off policies.

Coordinates Brandeis worker compensation program.

Administers daily operation of Brandeis health and welfare programs.

Administers Brandeis tuition remission programs.

Provides customer service to employees regarding benefits programs.
