Brandeis is Moving to Asset Essentials

Brandeis University is modernizing its facilities operations by transitioning from the current Maximo system to Asset Essentials, a next-generation, cloud-based facilities management platform. Launching on Wednesday April 22nd 2026, Asset Essentials will provide a more intuitive, efficient, and mobile-friendly experience for submitting maintenance requests, managing work orders, and supporting the university’s long-term sustainability and asset management goals.

This upgrade represents an important step toward improving the way we maintain and enhance our campus spaces. Asset Essentials’s advanced features will help streamline communication, reduce response times, and provide clearer visibility into the progress of maintenance and facilities projects, ensuring that the Brandeis community continues to enjoy safe, functional, and welcoming environments.

What's Changing 

With the launch of Asset Essentials, Maximo is no longer in use. All maintenance requests must now be submitted through the Asset Essentials platform.

Key improvements include:

  • A modern, user-friendly interface
  • Streamlined submission and tracking of maintenance requests
  • Access via both web and mobile app, allowing users to engage with the system on the go

Users who previously bookmarked Maximo links should update their bookmarks to ensure continued access to the new system.

Asset Essentials also includes a mobile app that allows users to submit requests, monitor progress, and stay informed wherever they are. The app is available for download on supported devices and provides the same functionality as the web-based system, optimized for mobile use.
