Populating an ORCID Profile
Enrich your ORCID profile by adding:
- Education
- Employment history
- Alternate names and variations
- Keywords (ex. areas of interest)
- Funding information, and more.

What Works Can be Added?
Many vendors and publishers already work with ORCID. Citations of publications, data sets, conference presentations can be often be imported.
Citations can be imported from many databases including: Web of Science, Scopus, MLA International Bibliography, CrossRef Metadata Search.

Using Your ORCID ID
Provide your ID when submitting manuscripts and grant proposals. Many publishers require ORCID ID’s from authors during the publication, submission process. Some of the publishers include:
