Lynn Walzer Elgart and her husband, Larry Elgart, recently published the book “The Music Business and the Monkey Business,” an insider’s view of how the music business has changed through the decades. Larry wrote “Bandstand Boogie,” the theme for “American Bandstand” before Dick Clark inherited it and Barry Manilow added lyrics. In the book, Lynn details the industry’s ups and downs, and the joys of being a part of it. After publishing books and articles on health and science issues for more than 40 years, Jane Jacobson Stein has penned a big departure, “Dear Class: Traveling Around the World With Mrs. J.,” a book written for kids 8-12. It’s about a globe-trotting teacher who visits more than a dozen countries and writes to her class about her adventures. Read the first chapter at www.dearclassbook.com.
