Robert Baker received the Medical Care Award from the New Rochelle, N.Y., branch of the NAACP at the organization’s Freedom Fund Dinner. Rob is an attending ophthalmologist at Manhattan’s New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he specializes in cataract surgery and eyelid surgery. Adam Berlin was promoted to full professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where he teaches writing. His most recent novels are “Both Members of the Club” and the post-9/11 “The Number of Missing.” Stephen Cloobeck, the chair and founder of Las Vegas-based Diamond Resorts International, played a round of golf with President Barack Obama, Yankees legend Derek Jeter and Las Vegas businessman Brian Greenspun at Shadow Creek Golf Course. Stephen, a Democratic political donor, met with the president last spring to talk about reducing wait times at U.S. airports to boost the tourism industry. The Rev. Lisa Mobayed is the new minister at the Walpole (N.H.) Unitarian Church. She earned her master’s of divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School, and served the Arlington Street Church in Boston and First Parish in Wayland, Mass.
