Curator-at-large Annette DiMeo Carlozzi retired after nearly two decades at the Blanton Museum of Art, at the University of Texas at Austin. She joined the museum in 1996 as curator of American and contemporary art, and later became senior curator of American and contemporary art, director of curatorial affairs, and deputy director of art and programs. Peter Mensch has managed rock bands since 1979. His first client was AC/DC (he was fired in 1981). In 1982, he and a partner formed Q Prime, which manages about 15 artists, including Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, the Black Keys, Eric Church, Snow Patrol, Gillian Welch and Foals. He has three children in various stages of college. Political philosopher Michael Sandel, MA’75, H’00, was made an honorary citizen of Seoul by Mayor Park Won-soon during a ceremony in December. Michael is something of a rock star in South Korea, where he has spoken about issues related to justice before 15,000 people in a packed amphitheater — and has also thrown out the first pitch at a professional baseball game.
