Barbara (Hayes) Buell was named one of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Top Women of Law for 2021. Abbe Stahl Steinglass reports she is “living year-round in a large clearing in the woods of New Marlborough, Massachusetts.” She chairs the art-gallery committee for the town’s Meeting House, and shows her individual and collaborative works. Elizabeth (Lapidus) Zelvin visited The Hermitage, a residential care facility in Alexandria, Virginia, to give a weeklong series of performances and presentations about her journey as a poet, novelist and singer-songwriter. Her recently published short stories include “Who Stole the Afikomen?” in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, and “An Artist in the Harem,” in Black Cat Mystery Magazine.
