Alana Anderson is assistant dean for diversity, equity and inclusion at the MIT Schwarzman College of Computing. Alana previously served as director of programs for diversity and inclusion in Boston University’s Office of the Provost. Julianna Barrera-Gomez, digital archivist at the University of Texas at San Antonio Libraries Special Collections, received the Individual Impact Award from the Texas Digital Library. The honor recognizes significant contributions to the field of digital curation and digital scholarship. Margareth Del Cid is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco. She is a member of the UCSF School of Medicine’s 2021 Class of John A. Watson Faculty Scholars, chosen for her work in eliminating barriers to mental health care for vulnerable youth populations. She and husband Jesse welcomed their first child, Felix, in May. Justin Drake is director of corporate communications at Cengage Group, an education technology company. He lives in the Boston area with his husband, Thomas. Josh Goldfischer and Karen Travis-Goldfischer welcomed daughter Hailey Madeline in July. She joins big brothers Benjamin and Jacob. Sam Greenblatt, GSAS MA’06, and wife Allison Demas on Aug. 16 welcomed their first child. Baby Elijah and his parents are doing well. Rach Margolies and Michael Hoffnung are celebrating the arrival of Eden Rose Hoffnung, who joins big brother Zacky. Vikram Ranade is senior vice president of corporate development at Tessara Therapeutics. Previously, he was an associate partner in McKinsey & Co.’s health-care practice.
