Brendan Doris-Pierce, head coach of the Boston College fencing program, was named the ACC Men’s Fencing Coach of the Year in 2021. Margarita Konaev, a research fellow at Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology, has joined the Center for a New American Security as an adjunct senior fellow in its technology and national security program. Her research will focus on military applications of artificial intelligence and Russian military innovation. Joanna Lazar married Blake Girndt on June 26 in Townsend, Massachusetts. The couple owns an 1880 Colonial-style house in Marlborough. Adam Schwartzbaum is a partner at the Moskowitz Law Firm, a leading national class-action law firm. Adam handles complex commercial and business litigation, and leads the firm’s state and federal appellate practice. He lives in Miami Beach with his dog, Mitzva. Shakiva (Pierre) Wade is co-chair of the real estate law section at the Metropolitan Black Bar Association of New York City.
