Malca Bassan is the author of “Jewish Middle Eastern Recipes/Jewish Calendar 2021-22.” Daniel Holbrook is professor emeritus of history at Marshall University, where, in 2021, he won both the Reynolds Award, the top prize for teaching at Marshall, and a Distinguished Service Award. Alain Marcuse, GSAS MA’87, is chief information security officer at Validity, a customer data quality and marketing analytics software company. He’s also an adjunct instructor at Brandeis Graduate Professional Studies. Daniel Thomas teaches international relations at Leiden University, in the Netherlands. His book “The Limits of Europe: Membership Norms and the Contestation of Regional Integration,” published by Oxford University Press in January, traces decision making on the geographic expansion of the European Union since the 1950s.
