Hilary (Shein) Rothman and husband Eric celebrated the birth of their first grandchild, Simcha Yosef, born to Natalia and Moshe Lehman. In August, Kerith (Stern) and Philip Rudnicki, IBS MA’91, were surrounded by Brandeis friends as son Caleb married Sarah Steinberg, daughter of Cindy Handler Steinberg and Michael Steinberg. Michael Schmidt, vice chair of Cozen O’Connor’s labor and employment department, was elected a fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. The founder and host of the award-winning podcast “Employment Law Now,” he has been recognized by The National Law Journal for his use of digital and social media to spotlight trends in employment law. Rebecca Shargel is a professor of education at Towson University. She and her family live outside Baltimore. Wendy Shlensky owns Canopy Communications & Marketing, an analyst relations advisory firm. Her podcast “The Bendy Show” is aimed at those in high tech who want to learn more about analyst relations. During a recent trip to the West Coast, she spent time with Julian Steinberg and Beth Zonderman. Valerie (Zamzok) Velhagen says she enjoyed some lovely get-togethers with Brandeis classmates in New York City in October.
