Sarah Black and husband Nick welcomed Maximilian Black-Ostrum to the family on Oct. 1, 2020. Alison Chernin is ninth grade dean at Maryland’s Sandy Spring Friends School. Joshua Ritz and wife Whitney welcomed daughter Hannah Leigha on June 18. Carlos Salcedo, a Brandeis University Posse alumnus, has joined the Posse New York advisory board. He is a managing director in global equities synthetic sales at Barclays Investment Bank. Rachel S. Schneider has written her third book, “The Teen Guide to Sensory Issues.” It is the first book designed for teens with sensory processing disorder, which Rachel was diagnosed with at age 27. She and daughter Lily live in Riverdale, New York. Arnon Shorr and podcast host Michelle Miller ’11 are creators and co-hosts of the Zoom/YouTube series “Showbiz@Deis.” Recent panelists included literary agent Mark Ross ’93; movie producer Sasha Yelaun ’07; and showrunner Marta Kauffman ’78, H’20. Sarah Simpson-Baptiste and husband Rudy welcomed a son, Myles, in September. Big sister Evangeline is thrilled to have a baby brother. On April 26, Samantha Slater and Justin Meservie welcomed Millie Chava Meservie, who joins big brother Jonah. Ilana (Shapiro) Yahdav and husband Liron welcomed daughter Ricki on Dec. 10, 2020. She’s named after Ilana’s dad, Eric Shapiro ’76.
