A concert of music composed by Elliot Asarnow, GSAS PhD’79, including pieces for chamber music and piano, was presented at Drew University in September. The performers included Myron Lutzke, principal cellist at the Orchestra of St. Luke’s in NYC. Murray Gordon, an attorney, CPA and certified management accountant, retired from Ernst & Young in 2013. In 2020, he joined the Chicago law firm Masuda Funai as of counsel. On Fridays, he is the bugler sounding taps for veteran interments at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. He is married to Judi Gravdal, former chair of family medicine at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Nancy Lazarus reports that the third of her three sons was recently married. A retired internist for 10 years, Nancy is looking forward to more grandchildren, more travel and more political work. Jennie Mather served as scientific adviser on the Academy Award-winning Netflix documentary “My Octopus Teacher.” A psychology professor at the University of Lethbridge, in Alberta, Canada, she has studied octopuses for more than 40 years. Peter Skagestad’s article “Introduction to R.G. Collingwood’s Outlines of a Philosophy of Art, 1925,” has been published online in the Bloomsbury History of Modern Aesthetics collection.
