Lewis Brooks, P’16, president of the Brandeis University Alumni Association, retired in February 2021 after nearly 29 years at DDB Worldwide Advertising. He and Denise Silber Brooks ’84, P’16, are continuing their quest to visit all 63 U.S. National Parks (48 and counting, as of this writing). Susan Cohen, founding chair of the immigration practice at Mintz Levin, is the author of “Journeys From There to Here: Stories of Immigrant Trials, Triumphs and Contributions,” published by River Grove Press in November. Michael Klein, the William L. Clayton Professor of International Economic Affairs at Tufts, founded the nonpartisan website EconoFact almost five years ago. A publication of Tufts’ Fletcher School, EconoFact features short memos written by academic economists on economic and social policies. In “EconoFact Chats,” a weekly podcast, Michael has interviewed, among others, two Nobel Laureates, the past three chief economists of the International Monetary Fund, two former chairs of the Council of Economic Advisers and the former director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Elisa Fawn New is the inaugural director of the Center for Public Humanities in Arizona State University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Season 3 of her PBS television series “Poetry in America” started airing in January. Day Pitney partner and general counsel Elizabeth J. Sher is the president of the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey.
