Susan Handloff writes, “Having decided that snow has lost its allure, Bert and I now spend winters in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ruth Kaplan and her husband, Phil, joined us there before the pandemic.” Susan has been taking BOLLI classes, which she very much enjoys. A six-decade retrospective of Suzanne Hodes’ paintings, drawings, and prints was presented from March to June at the Danforth Museum, in Framingham, Massachusetts. The exhibition was titled “The Engaged Image.” Literacy author Susan Kahn hopes to help find a kidney donor for her son, Doug, who is listed with the National Kidney Registry and undergoes dialysis three times a week. Susan writes, “If someone is interested in being evaluated as a possible kidney donor, Doug is being treated at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, in Boston, where the waiting list for a kidney is very long. However, if someone provides a kidney in Doug’s name, that kidney will be given to the person who matches the blood and tissue type, and Doug’s name then flies to the top of the waiting list, which allows him to receive the first kidney that matches his body. Brigham and Women’s has an online form for prospective donors.”
