Barbara Dourmashkin-Case reports she is now working on the TV show “American Dad,” after 20 years at Disney Television Animation. She is also illustrating and writing the children’s book “Truman’s NYC Fourth of July,” which follows in the same vein as her previous books “Truman’s Los Angeles Adventure” and “Peggy Day’s Martha’s Vineyard Adventure.” Barbara has two grandchildren: Nico (2) and Remy (5). Howard Fingert, GSAS MA’73, is a biotech consultant to the biopharma industry and to nonprofit and academic organizations. He is also a member of the National Cancer Advisory Board and works with the STARS consortium, a nonprofit led by European Union regulators, to, among other charges, oversee public-private partnerships that seek to develop new cancer therapies. Susan Jay, who retired from Florida International University in 2018, is director of advancement at GableStage, a regional theater in Coral Gables, Florida, that showcases thought-provoking drama. Phyllis Kayten reports she still works at Stanford University’s Cecil H. Green Library — and is, in fact, “nowhere near the oldest librarian there.” In May, Richard Liskov, senior counsel at ArentFox Schiff and lecturer at the Boston University School of Law, presented a nationwide virtual briefing on U.S. insurance regulation for the Practising Law Institute. Reid Selden says he thought he would miss working after being a pediatrician for 40 years but is enjoying spending time with his children and three grandchildren. Now a resident of Charleston, South Carolina, he also doesn’t miss the snow he used to get in New York but does yearn for “real” deli and Chinese food. Susan Townsend writes, “Loving retirement. Main job now is being on a team of three assisting 93-year-old Mom and her 103-year-old husband, Clare, with daily life. Love long walks with the dog and friends.” Roslyn Zelenka, P’05, reports she’s still working with husband George ’70, P’05, in their family-owned business in Panama, now joined by two of their children and their son-in-law. Roslyn’s Rainforest Design jewelry line of handcrafted shell cameos was featured in the Panama Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, which ran from October 2021 to March 2022.
