Warren Feld is the author of the how-to book “Pearl Knotting — Warren’s Way.” He will soon publish another book, “So You Want To Be a Jewelry Designer.” Steven Kaplan, GSAS MA’75, who retired from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2014, lives in Alpharetta, Georgia. He publishes in academic journals, is completing a book on Ethiopian history up to 1500, and is an associate fellow of the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences. He and his wife are raising two of their 22 grandchildren, and have three dogs, tropical fish, and canaries and finches. Bruce Maddy-Weitzman announces he is happily retired after more than four decades at Tel Aviv University’s Moshe Dayan Center, and Middle Eastern and African history department. He is celebrating the publication of his book “Amazigh Politics in the Wake of the Arab Spring,” keeping busy with three grandchildren, playing saxophone in various bands, and waiting expectantly for life partner Edie Weitzman to join the retirees’ club. Peretz Rodman, GSAS MA’83, and Miriam Laufer ’79 welcomed their fifth granddaughter, Shoham Rita Rodman, in May. Like her sister and cousins, Shoham lives near her grandparents in Jerusalem. Pamela Zickler-Rikkers is a story producer and archival producer on a documentary film about the year 2020. Her ex-husband Henry Rikkers, with whom she was still close, died on Oct. 5, 2021. She reports she enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren, reading, and hiking.
