A law-review article by Dennis Baron, P’05, was cited favorably by Justice Stephen Breyer in his dissent in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v. Bruen, a Second Amendment case decided by the U.S. Supreme Court in June. Dennis’ book “You Can’t Always Say What You Want: The Paradox of Free Speech” will be published by Cambridge University Press in December, and he is working on his next book, “Shibboleth: Policing Language From Babel to the Internet.” Robert Lerman and two others have founded the nonprofit Apprenticeships for America, which aims to widen access to rewarding careers and benefit millions of American workers. He also has a podcast/YouTube channel called “Ideas and Lives.” Peter Levinson wrote an article, “Hawaiian Jewry in the Aftermath of World War II: The Transformative Years,” about the origins of the Honolulu congregation in which he grew up. The article was published in The American Jewish Archives Journal in 2021. Michael Seltz is vice president and treasurer of the board of Communities Together, a Maryland-based affordable-housing services coordinator.
