Brandeis Students Support COVID-19 Safety
In the summer of 2020, the Office of Health and Wellness Promotion (HAWP) conducted a survey of Brandeis students' attitudes, beliefs, and behavioral intent regarding COVID-19 safety guidelines.
The survey was emailed to 5,063 students for a total response rate of 31%.
- 84% of respondents were undergraduates
- 24% of respondents were first year students
- 16% of respondents were graduate students
This survey identified a misperception of the social norm; while the majority of students reported strong support for COVID-19 safety guidelines, they were less likely to believe that other students supported these measures. This social norms campaign was developed to help correct that misperception.
