John Elegant came out of retirement to start a website, www.MidEngineCorvetteForum. com. He and Annie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this summer. Stephen Herman writes, “I’m still practicing forensic psychiatry — I love it too much to quit. Although I have medical practices in New York City and Arizona, Connecticut is my home and always will be. I love New England; I will have to be carried out of the house and composted in the back.” Ron Kronish, P’99, is teaching seminars on interreligious dialogue and peace-building at Drew University and the Heller School. In March, he and Amy, P’99, celebrated 50 years of marriage; they met at Brandeis when he was a senior and she was a first-year. Two weeks before Vicki Goldberg Nelson and husband John celebrated their 50th anniversary, she celebrated the bat mitzvah of her oldest grandchild in Pelham, New York. Since 1993, Howard Posner, Tony Annesi, Alex Barkas (until his death several years ago), Larry Bensky, Larry Fialkow, Steve Gilbert, Stan Goldberg, Jon Kurtis, Ken Nirenberg, Alan Silver and Rick Tolin — plus Joel Lubin, P’07, and Paul Schiffer, both ’69 — have held reunions every year or so. In April, they met for a long weekend in Austin, with a side trip to San Antonio. “We visited the Texas State Capitol, the LBJ Museum, the Bluebonnet Festival, the Alamo, the San Antonio River Walk and San Antonio City Hall (Ken’s son is the city’s mayor),” Howard reports. “We also did about as much eating, drinking and carousing as a bunch of septuagenarians are physically capable of doing.”
