Ari Seth was born on April 18 to Adena Blum and her husband, Sean. Everyone is doing well, including big brother Jonah. The family lives near Princeton, New Jersey. Margareth Del Cid earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from Palo Alto University, specializing in diversity and community mental health. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of California, San Francisco, and will be a postdoctoral fellow in UCSF’s Juvenile Justice Behavioral Health lab. Monica (Katz-Lapides) LaBoskey and her husband, Jeff, welcomed Samuel Ryu on Sept. 6, 2018. The baby is “healthy, happy and on-the-go,” Monica writes. Brandon Luk and his wife moved to Hawaii, where he works as a physician. He’s expecting his first child, a boy. Yonatan Morse’s book “How Autocrats Compete: Parties, Patrons and Unfair Elections in Africa” was published by Cambridge University Press in January. Olga Poltoratskaya Okaty, IBS MA’07, is a principal at Centerpoint Advisors, providing strategic financial planning and comprehensive wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals and families. Jessie (Podell) Pressman and her husband, Ryan, along with their son Spencer, welcomed new baby Jacob Rhodes to the world on April 19. Amy Schiller received a doctorate in political science from the Graduate Center, CUNY. Her dissertation is “Caring Without Sharing: Philanthropy’s Creation and Destruction of the Common World.” She included many Brandeis friends and professors in her acknowledgments.
