Renée Bronson Heywood is the statewide director of educational services at the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services. After receiving a graduate education fellowship, she became a doctoral candidate at UMass Amherst this fall. She has been married for 28 years, and has three children, a daughter-in-law and a soon-to-be daughter-in-law. London-based freelance business consultant Samara Timon signed a two-book deal with Bonnier Zaffre. Her debut novel, “City of Spies,” a World War II espionage thriller, will be published in September 2020. She is working on her second novel.
