Rabbi Jocee Hudson of Temple Israel of Hollywood, in Los Angeles, California, was honored by New York-based T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights with its 2019 Rabbinic Human Rights Hero Award. Marsha Pierre-Jacques Williams received the 2019 Women of Excellence Award for Education from the Portland (Oregon) alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. At the ceremony, she met Libra Gilbert-Forde ’97, who was receiving the Women of Excellence Award for Social Justice. Marsha co-founded an educational nonprofit called KairosPDX seven years ago.
