Class Correspondent

In June, we enjoyed a glorious 60th Reunion, which featured programs and lectures designed specifically for our class, an emotional memorial service, and a class dinner on Saturday night. Among the events: Approximately 30 class members and their partners shared their life stories during a program that concluded with a singalong that recalled our Brandeis years, and Reunion chair Marge Grodner Housen reminded us of what the Class of 1956 started as and grew into. Moe and Sandra Goodman, P’84, were sorry to miss Reunion, but they were attending their grandson’s graduation from Caltech. They are enjoying life at the Willows of Worcester, a retirement community for active seniors. Moe still lectures at the Worcester Institute for Senior Education and attends classes. He has been conducting genealogical research and completed a biography of his grandfather, “My Father’s Father.” Michael Walzer, H’81, emeritus professor at the Institute for Advanced Study, was elected to the British Academy — a fellowship of 1,300 leading academics in the humanities and social sciences — as a corresponding fellow.
