My husband, Asaf Jalfin, and I closed on a new condo in Arlington, Massachusetts, over the summer. We are very excited about our new home.

Noah Browne married Szilvia Altorjai in July 2016 in Lunenburg, Massachusetts. Noah’s brother, Ari ’05, married the happy couple. Celebrating with them were all the members of Mod 17 and additional alumni: Stephen Medow; Jane (Foster) Simons; David Lantsman, IBS MA’04, IBS MBA’14; Ariella (Stober) David, IBS MA’04; Mara (Michaels) and Dan Braunfeld; Danny Shapiro; and Zach Mabel ’04. Rabbi Steven Exler was named to The Jewish Week’s 36 Under 36, a list of 36 individuals under the age of 36 who are changing the face of the Jewish community. He was named senior rabbi of the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale-The Bayit in 2015. He joined the congregation in 2008 as an intern under the mentorship of Rabbi Avi Weiss, the congregation’s senior rabbi. He was ordained a year later after completing his rabbinic studies at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School, which Rabbi Weiss founded. Steven’s maternal great-grandfather was the seventh of seven generations of rabbis. Aaron Fischlowitz-Roberts married Sarah Lane on Aug. 7, 2016, in Pownal, Maine. Rabbi Eli Freedman ’02 co-officiated with Sarah’s sister, Meg. Brandeis alumni in attendance included Sue Fischlowitz ’68, P’03, Aaron’s mom; Max Fischlowitz-Roberts ’10, Aaron’s brother; and Robert Tanenbaum ’04. Rebecca Frisch and husband Scott Lauber welcomed a son (and future Judge), Jacob Max, to the world on May 16, 2016. Rebecca, Scott and Jake live in Charlestown, Massachusetts. Aaron Harris married Jacqueline Green in summer 2015 in Rhode Island, and they had a baby in September 2016. Liliana Kualapai and Hal Schneider ’02 had their third child, Eli, on March 29, 2016. He joins sister Aliya (3) and brother Miles (7). The family lives in Lowell, Massachusetts, where Lili is the director of the Merrimack Valley Small Business Center. On June 16, 2016, Marissa Lynne (Smilowitz) and Gregg Leppo welcomed their second child, daughter Alice Evelyn. Alice joins big sister Hazel Rae, who visited Usen Castle for the first time in summer 2016. Gregg and Marissa met while living in the Castle during their sophomore year. Mariko Neveu was inducted into the Joseph M. Linsey Brandeis Athletics Hall of Fame at a ceremony during Homecoming. She is a nine-time All-American — three times each for cross-country, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. She finished second at the NCAA Division III Championships in 2002, the best finish ever by a Brandeis woman. She won two New England titles and seven University Athletic Association championships during her tenure with the Judges, and earned a spot on the UAA Silver Anniversary team. Morty Rosenbaum received a PhD in clinical psychology and works as a postdoctoral psychology fellow at the Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders at Mount Sinai West. Morty lives in Brooklyn with husband Jonathan Vatner, whom he married in 2014, and their two cats, Miles and Albee. Jonathan Sclarsic was promoted to assistant attorney general and director of the Division of Open Government in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. Solomon and Morgan (Rosenheck) Sheena welcomed a baby boy, Jesse Lev, in May 2016. Big brother Aaron (5) and big sister Olivia (3) are very excited. Morgan started the Boston Moms Blog (the URL is www.bostonmomsblog.org) last year. Brenda Yoo is principal of the Mackay Elementary School, in Tenafly, New Jersey. She writes, “As a wife and the mom of a 4-year-old, I find every day is busy but filled with fun and laughter.”
