Antitrust litigator Steven Bizar, MA’87, joined Dechert after 15 years with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, where he was one of the Pittsburgh-based firm’s four executive shareholders. In 2006, he was named co-chair of Buchanan’s 130-lawyer litigation practice; five years later he became an executive shareholder. He was elected a fellow of the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Jacqueline Glassman, former chief counsel at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, has joined the tort and environmental practice in King & Spalding’s Washington, D.C., office as a partner. Andrea Katz, MA’94, has been married for 27 years to husband Gary. They live in Salem, Massachusetts, right over the line from her hometown of Marblehead, and are proud parents of Ari (26), Jonah (24) and Sarah (22). Andrea stays busy as a Jewish educator, mentoring young college students on her staff at Temple Shalom in Medford, and teaching classes in her own congregation, Shirat Hayam, in Swampscott. She enjoys swimming, walking, cooking and chanting haftara. Cheryl Pegus joined the board of directors of U.S. Acute Care Solutions. The director of the Division of General Internal Medicine and Clinical Innovation at New York University School of Medicine, she has served as chief medical officer for Walgreens. Jill Strelitz Schneider is a psychotherapist with a private practice in Boca Raton, Florida. She writes, “I’m probably the first one in the class to have grandchildren — Jacob (2) and Maya (1). I totally agree with whoever said that grandparenthood is one of the few things that are not overrated.”
